DARPA report on Composable Trustworthy Architectures for Starters

This a a report by Peter G. Neumann on Principled Assuredly Trustworthy Composable Architectures created as part of the (US) Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Composable High-Assurance Trustworthy Systems (CHATS) program.

The overall goal is to be better able to develop and more rapidly conīŦgure highly trustworthy systems and networks able to satisfy critical requirements (including security, reliability, survivability, performance, and other vital characteristics).

The report can be downloaded here.

I intend to often link to research on software security since I feel that most consultants in the application security field focus too much on their technical sphere of influence (such as sites for techies) while there are lots of interesting things happening in the academic community.

Enjoy reading!
